Heat Pumps and Integrated Tanks

Cut your water heating bill by 70% with the most efficient heat pump solution on the market.

More savings.
More reliable hot water.

The Energy Partners Solution

The Energy Partners heat pump solution is superior to other systems on the market. Our Heat Pumps are installed with a purpose built Hot Water tank. This has several advantages over conventional heat pumps:

More Savings

Our heat pumps run at the most efficient temperature range which makes them up to 25% more efficient than normal heat pumps.

Reliable Hot Water

The hottest water is always available to be used first, thanks to the vertical tank.

More Storage

Our tanks range up to 500L in size. Larger tanks are ideal for solar systems because you can generate more hot water during the day and store it to use at night.

Safer

Our stainless steel tanks can be placed outside, so you never have to worry about water damage from a burst geyser again.

How the technology works

A heat pump heats water by absorbing heat from the air outside your home and transferring it into your hot water. They are very energy efficient, because for every unit of electrical energy they use, they transfer 3 or 4 units of heat energy into the hot water. Effectively 70% of the energy comes from the air, for free.

Heat pumps do this by making use of a compressor and a refrigerant. To find out more about how they work, click here.

Heat pumps have been widely used in industry for over 20 years. The technology and reliable and safe.

Our unique solution

Our solution is different to most heat pumps on the market because, instead of connecting the heat pump to your regular geyser, we use a special hot water tank that is designed to work with a heat pump. These tanks are super-insulated, to prevent heat loss, and oversized to enable you to make extra hot water during the day. The tank also stands vertically, which means the warmest water is always at the top of the tank, immediately available. The tank includes a special indirect coil at the bottom, which ensures that the heat pump is always heating the coldest water rather than reheating warm water. This makes the system up to 25% more efficient than normal heat pumps.

The system also allows you to upgrade to a full ICON home energy system and increase your savings further. Check out our full system here.

All products are certified compliant with SANS regulations and are compliant to international IEC standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much space does the system take up?

The heat pump unit can be wall mounted outside and is no bigger than an air conditioning unit. The storage tank can be stored either inside or outside your home and a number of mounting options are available.

What is the expected lifespan and warranty of the system?

There is an 18 month limited warranty on the heat pump and a 5 year unlimited warranty on the tank, which can be extended to 10 years.

What is the difference in cost between installing a heat pump and a standard geyser?

The Energy Partners heat pump solution requires a high initial cash outlay than a regular geyser, but will quickly pay off the extra investment through energy savings. This, coupled with the extended life of the tank corresponds to a 10 year saving of more than R150k.
